WBTshowcase is the world's largest forum offering a prescreened, pre-prepped collection of undiscovered companies and intellectual property emanating from top universities, labs and research institutions from across the country.

Business Objectives
WBTshowcase’s expressed goal was to increase event participation, including sponsors, delegates and partners over previous years.

The Campaign
Though WBTshowcase engaged in a dynamic e-marketing campaign, their target was limited to their existing database. We determined that the best strategy for raising awareness of WBT2010 was to  engage with participating organizations. We developed a series of newsworthy press releases and conducted extensive outreach to national and trade media, both online and off. 

We pre-briefed the most important Venture Capital bloggers and top Venture Capital publications to secure coverage leading into WBTshowcase that centered on the event’s key messages and activities.

The Results
WBT2010 drew over 600 entrepreneurs, angel and venture investors, commercialization experts, federal agencies and technology licensees.

Organizers of the annual showcase said that WBT2010 was the largest in WBT history, attracting at least eight federal agencies and major sponsorships from Lockheed Martin, Accenture and Roche Diagnostics.
